To get an idea of the size we're talking about, 0.3 microns is a few hundred times smaller than a human hair and a particle of that size cannot even be seen by the human eye!

Ionic Air Purifiers: Ionic purifiers are a fairly new addition on the market. They work by using negative ions to charge the particles in the air. These charged particles then fall from the air and land on surfaces where they can be dusted away. Because the particles can be often be released back into the air, most ionic air purifiers use electrostatic technology to trap the particles.

UV Air Purifiers: UV air purifiers, as their name suggests, use ultraviolet technology to destroy harmful particles and allergens in the air. Not only that, they can also eradicate bacteria, mold and even certain types of viruses. If you want the most technologically advanced air purifier available, a UV air purifier may be your best bet.

When shopping for an air purifier, compare different products to learn which one is best for your home. Make sure you understand how small or large of an area that the air purifiers you are considering will cover. Depending on the size of your home and the type of purifier you choose, you may need more than one.
