These charged particles then fall from the air and land on surfaces where they can be dusted away. Because the particles can be often be released back into the air, most ionic air purifiers use electrostatic technology to trap the particles.

UV Air Purifiers: UV air purifiers, as their name suggests, use ultraviolet technology to destroy harmful particles and allergens in the air. Not only that, they can also eradicate bacteria, mold and even certain types of viruses. If you want the most technologically advanced air purifier available, a UV air purifier may be your best bet.
