Information About Hunter Air Purifiers

QuietFlo Purifiers

Hunter's QuietFlo Purifiers are just that -- quiet! The QuietFlo fan first draws air into the purifier without the noisy operation you'll find with other types of purifiers. The air is then taken through an advanced activated carbon pre-filter. This pre-filter works to not only capture particulate matter but rid the air of odors from cooking, smoke, and pets. After leaving the pre-filter, the air is then taken through the HEPA filter. This HEPA filter captures 99.97 percent of particulate matter as small as 0.3 microns in size. Finally, the cleansed air is recirculated back into the room.

There are a wide variety of QuietFlo models that are made for various sized rooms and come with different features. For example, the QuietFlo 85 model works for rooms that are around 15 x 17, while the QuietFlo 525 is suitable for rooms as large as 19 x 21 feet.

HepaTech Purifiers

HepaTech is the other type of purifier that Hunter offers. First, the remarkably quiet Hunter fan sucks air into the purifier with a minimum of noise. Next, the separate washable pre-filter captures large sized particles like dust, pet hair, and lint. Then, a permanently charged HEPAtech Electret filter grabs 99.97 percent of particulate matter that is as small as 0.1 microns in size. To get an idea of how small that is, the average HEPA filter captures particles that are 0.3 microns, which is 300 times smaller than a single strand of hair! After that, the ionizer releases a stream of negative ions which cleanse and freshen the air in the room. Finally, purified air is released back into the room.

Like with the QuietFlo, there are a wide variety of HepaTech models for various sized rooms. One of the smallest models is the HepaTech 27, which works for rooms that are around 10 x 11 in size. Larger rooms will need something like the HepaTech 526, which is ideal for larger rooms measuring around 19 x 21 feet.
